ASHES DIVIDE: New Video Interview With BILLY HOWERDEL Posted Online

August 25, 2008

Ilmoentertainment.com recently conducted an interview with ASHES DIVIDE founder and frontman Billy Howerdel. Watch the nine-minute chat below.

ASHES DIVIDE recently sent "Enemies" to radio as the second single from the group's debut album, "Keep Telling Myself It's Alright". Billy Howerdel told The Pulse of Radio why "Enemies" is different from the type of songs he's known for writing. "With this project, with ASHES DIVIDE, I kind of set out to do a couple of things in the beginning," he said. "One of the things was to write in a faster tempo than I'm normally accustomed to writing in. You know, I usually kind of gravitate toward the slower, dirgier kind of thing. 'Enemies' is on the top end of the tempo spectrum, I guess, for this record."

Howerdel was previously in A PERFECT CIRCLE with TOOL vocalist Maynard James Keenan.

"Keep Telling Myself It's Alright" debuted at Number 36 on the Billboard album chart in April, selling 15,800 copies in its first week of release.

ASHES DIVIDE performed on the main stage of this summer's Projekt Revolution tour alongside headliners LINKIN PARK and others.
